Introduction
Social Media kids are the current generation and
future generations who need minute updates on what is going on with friends
near and far. This generation needs their friends to be able to see their activities
and the enjoyment occurring in their lives such that they can plan for future activities and
enjoyments sometimes while in the classroom. These kids are encompassed with building relationships, not only enhancing already
close relationships but also forming new ones. They are ignorant about the dangers on social networking sites, dangers such as invasion or lack of privacy!
The Classroom
As a result of the students' growing use of social media sites, teachers must ask themselves the following questions:
1. What and how much information are my students putting up on the internet for the public to view?
2. How does this affect the student in my classroom society?
