I believe students must be further educated about the dangers to their privacy when using social networking sites. We cannot eliminate a factor in student life that is as big as social networking use. Teachers and future teachers must change their pedagogical characters to include the use of social networking sites. I believe that if we can use these sites to increase student learning and teach them about proper use then they will be much safer. Social networking use in class is a major distraction, but if teachers allow mobile devices into the classroom they can use them and to keep student concentration on classroom concepts using social networking sites to discuss classroom issues.
